The Great Walhalla Alpine Trail is a 2 day expedition [40km], operating in a remote area where evacuation to modern medical facilities can be timely. Weather conditions can be extreme with temperatures ranging from 40+ degrees celsius down to the minuses. High winds, intense sunlight, rain, snow and other hostile environmental conditions are possible.

The trail consists of undulating terrain on uneven surfaces at altitudes of up to 1,500 metres. Whilst participating in the walk you will sleep outdoors and will be required to walk long distances each day. You will require a reasonable level fitness to complete this walk.

In the interests of your safety and the safety of other participants, please carefully consider the above description when completing the Medical Form that is required for all walk participants.

A "yes" answer on the Medical Form does not necessarily deem you medically unfit to participate in the walk. If you have any questions on your capacity to successfully complete the trip we can discuss this with you. Please note that some of the questions asked in the Medical Form are asked to gain an understanding of your level of general physical activity.

The information you provide on the Medical Form is confidential and will not be shared with any other party. We are required by our Parks Victoria Tourism Operator's License and by our insurance providers to adequately assess the ability and medical fitness of every participant in the walk. We are unable to allow guests to undertake the walk unless we have received your completed Medical Form. These details are required for your own safety.
